Lola

Lola is a daughter and a wife. That’s how she has lived, that’s how she sees herself, and that’s how she will stay up to the end. To this day, she talks to the memories of her already gone loved ones, so she can escape from the loneliness that surrounds her. She never had children and her sisters died, so she finds herself alone; that is why she’s always looking for the telephone, to dial the well memorized old number and wait for her mother to pick up the phone. Lola doesn’t really need any modern technology, though. She makes up whole conversations in her head and blissfully tell us all about what her mother said and how her husband looked. A love story so magnificent that it gives her the strength and motivation to keep living while waiting for her death.
