Her name was Soledad Hernández González, and she always announced it along with how march of 1913 was her birthdate. Soledad, or Cholita, how everyone called her, lived until she turned 101 years old, as independent, strong and cheerful as always. She never got married because she thought she would never be ready for such a commitment. She lived on her own until time catched up with her and she had to go to the nursing home. Once there, she struggled with sharing everything: the bathroom, food, bedrooms, clothes… Until the very end of her days, she missed the privacy she used to enjoy.
